Some people with certain chemistry experience temporary discoloration of the skin when wearing copper jewelry, especially on the fingers and the back of the neck. To clean your jewelry, simply buff gently with a soft cloth to remove perspiration and oils. These can permanently discolor some stones or tarnish the copper. Avoid submersion in water and direct exposure to lotions, oils, perfumes, and harsh cleaners. Crystals and gemstones, especially in raw form, also need to be treated kindly. While copper is sturdy enough for daily wear, it is a softer metal and can be misshapen under stress.
